Agenda

New Project Submission

  1. MHA has provided a template for issue to track project submission process (see https://gitlab.ow2.org/ow2/technology-council/blob/master/.gitlab/issue_templates/project-submission.md )
  2. Only memebre of the TC project can modify and view the template, however when an issue is out, it's seen by externals.  
  3. All started viewing the template and approved the idea 
  4. The idea is to keep issue tracker as a support for the TC to follow the progress of a project submission and automatize some of the actions
  5. DGA and BMO suggest to have "need more info" checkbox to make another iteration of a project review.
  6. MHA suggested to have a tag for it (or a lable) 
  7. Finally a concensus has been found which is adding a checkbox and having a label
  8. In the current situation, the template is fine and we test it by launching a new project submission review. 

GSoC

The TC discussed the reasons of the fail for OW2 to be selected as a mentor organization! IAL pointed that some project leaders have showed interest but not making efforts to provide idea list and the 2019 ideas was a copy of 2018 one. All pointed that we need more project involvments and better organization in the next year.

OW2Con

  1. IAL pointed that OW2Con call of proposal is open, and if there are suggestions on speakers or on the organization
  2. BMO pointed that a 20min session is very short and one can be lost during the day because of the mount of slots 
  3. IAL talked about parallel sessions 
  4. BMO stated that 30-40 min slots are more interesting 
  5. IAL said that It could be combination of both depending on the nature (a technical slot we extend time to 40 min) 

Action Items

  1. IAL to make a first try on the issue tracker for the project submission process on monday Feb 5th for a project in the pipe 
  2. IAL make a proposal for poster session
